    X-Liff Editor 1.0.5


    Netkelvin develops and maintains a language localisation tool for 4D business systems. X-Liff editor supports both manual and automatic translation from a base language into XLIFF formatted localisation files. Version 1.0.5 is now available which adds support for 4D's legacy form object syntax.

    4D Summit Europe


    The first European 4D developer summit in many years is going to be held in Paris this year from the 14th to the 17th November. For the last 10 years or so, the main worldwide developer conference has been held in the United States. Having been to a couple of conferences in the nineties when they were held over here, the revival of the European one is a welcome development. We expect some interesting presentations regarding the roadmap for 4D-Wakanda relations. This promises to be one of the most exciting and powerful technology approaches to supporting 4D solutions on web and mobile devices.

    4D have announced near certification of versions 12.4 and 13.1 for Apple's new Mountain Lion (10.8) O/S. For users still on v11 we have kept OS upgrades on hold on the Mac at 10.6, so this news is welcome.     4D Releases Product Line v13.1


    4D have announced the release of v13.1. From their press release: "This stabilization release is recommended to all 4D v13 users. It includes improvements to the following products : 4D and 4D Server, 4D ODBC Driver, 4D Pack, 4D Write and 4D View. Please note that the 4D Internet Commands plug-in is unchanged, and for technical reasons has kept its original number (13.0)".

    Summit 2011 - Madrid


    We recently attended the Madrid 2011 Devcon which showcased new features coming in 4D v13 as well as ongoing progress with Wakanda. Devcons are a great opportunity to meet and exchange notes with other 4D contractors. This was a first for us in Spain and we discovered some of the innovative and successful applications being developed there.
